The 60th Accra Open tees off for the amateurs this Saturday and Sunday. Starting with the pros last Monday, the tournament, which is the flagship of the premier club, has attracted a record 40 pros and 160 amateurs from all over the country, and also players from the African sub-region of Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire and The Gambia.

In the handicap event, the club captain, Mike Aggrey, will defend the title he won last year, as in form Carl Brew Aidoo and Rev Amezado battle for honours.
The ladies handicap will be a close one between Esther Amoah and Leticia Amponsah-Mensah.
