The District Chief Executive Officer (DCE) for Sekyere West, Solomon Agyei Mensah, has donated items worth thousands of cedis to beneficiaries of the Local Enterprise and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) at Effiduase in the Ashanti Region.
The people of Nwineso No 1. in the Atwima Kwanwoma district have raised GH¢8,000 at an annual fund raising ceremony to help improve infrastructural facilities in the community, and improve on the quality of life of the people.
The people of Akyeremade in the Bekwai Municipality have raised GH¢16,800 towards development projects earmarked under its five-year development plan.
The Sekyere South District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has recorded GH¢66,296.97 as at the end of the first quarter on March 31, 2012.
Why should the idea of people being asked to put their names in a register so that they could be identified to vote in the December polls turn into violence? We dare state that it is so, because a group of politicians have willed it in order to take unfair advantage of the distortion in the figures expected on the polling day.
